Browning Encourages Grower Participation in Bactericide Survey

Harold Browning

The Citrus Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) encourages growers to register for the 2017 Citrus Expo, which is quickly approaching. Harold Browning, chief operations officer for the CRDF, says he is looking forward to seeing everyone at the Expo in August.

He reminds growers registering for Citrus Expo to take the bactericide survey. A link to the survey is available on the Citrus Expo website.

The survey is conducted by AgNet Media in cooperation with CRDF. The 2017 survey will build on knowledge gathered from the 2016 survey. Results of the survey will be presented during the Citrus Expo seminar program.

Browning said he encourages all growers to report the use of bactericides in the survey to see how they are being used and what effects they have on the industry. “Information that can be gathered through the survey of use of the bactericides will greatly assist us as we move forward with plans to continue the section 18 registration that will allow growers to get them into the 2018 season,” says Browning.

Citrus Expo will be held August 16–17 at the Lee Civic Center in North Fort Myers, Florida.

Pre-registration for Citrus Expo is now open! All pre-registered growers will be eligible for a chance to win a John Deere gun safe courtesy of Everglades Equipment Group.
