This Friday, Aug, 15, is the deadline to preregister for the Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo. The event scheduled for Aug. 20–21 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa promises to provide growers with an exceptional seminar program and the opportunity to network with peers.
The seminar program’s general session will cover a wide range of topics including labor, farm policy, disaster relief, the farm economy and more. Breakout sessions will be held for citrus and specialty crops. Florida restricted-use pesticide license continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for both sessions. In addition, the citrus sessions will offer Certified Crop Adviser CEUs. See the full seminar agenda here.
The trade show will showcase vendors of the goods and services growers need to produce a successful crop. There will be plenty of time for growers to visit exhibitors and to share ideas with fellow producers on the trade show floor. Be sure to stop by the Tree Defender exhibit (booth 701) for a complimentary cold beer on Aug. 20. The happy hour takes place from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Don’t miss your chance to preregister and skip the on-site registration line at the Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo! All preregistered growers will be automatically entered for a chance to win a John Deere gun safe, courtesy of Everglades Equipment Group.
