The networking reception at the Citrus, Vegetable and Specialty Crop Expo is sure to be a highlight of the event. Josh McGill, show director, believes the reception provides the perfect opportunity for growers and exhibitors to make personal connections and reconnect face to face.
The reception became a tradition at the 25th annual Citrus Expo with the “Citrus Expo Shindig.” Since adding vegetable and specialty crop growers to the mix, McGill is excited to keep the tradition going. On Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 3:30 p.m., the trade show hall will come to life with music, appetizers and an open bar.
Exhibitors are welcome to set up interactive activities (cornhole, ladder ball, etc.) at their booths during this time.
After a busy day of walking the trade show and listening to seminars, the reception provides a venue for attendees and exhibitors to catch up in a laid-back setting.
“The reception will be a great time to bring our exhibitors and growers together, giving them time for networking, fellowship and seeing some people they might not be able to see regularly,” McGill says.
The FFA raffle will also take place during the networking reception. One lucky winner will take home a state-of-the-art backyard smoker, donated by Hays LTI. Be sure to look for an FFA officer on the trade show floor on Wednesday to purchase raffle tickets.
