Citrus Expo 2017 had its biggest crowd yet as growers and citrus industry professionals came together to mingle and hear the latest research on citrus greening. Attendees were able to delve in to the “Challenge, Change and Opportunity” of the citrus industry during the seminar program.
The trade show hall was always busy as exhibitors showcased their best products to growers. A highlight on Wednesday, August 16, was the Citrus Expo Happy Hour!
Another high point of Citrus Expo was the annual FFA raffle. Five lucky winners were able to take home some great prizes including a drone and a backyard smoker. Thank you for supporting the future of Florida agriculture!
Perhaps the most exciting event of Citrus Expo 2017 was the attendance of U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue and Congressman Tom Rooney. Perdue and Rooney hosted a listening session to hear the concerns of Florida’s citrus industry, then walked the trade show floor. Many attendees and exhibitors were able to meet and talk with Secretary Perdue and Congressman Rooney.
Thank you to all the sponsors and exhibitors who made Citrus Expo possible.
Citrus Expo 2018 will be held August 15-16 at the Lee Civic Center in North Fort Myers, Florida.
