In this week’s “Speaker Spotlight,” Jeff Rollins, associate professor with University of Florida’s Department of Plant Pathology, discusses his 2016 Citrus Expo seminar topic.
Rollins will be presenting an update on citrus black spot in Florida. He says that his seminar will focus a lot on how research is being done to understand the life cycle of the black spot pathogen, how it exists in Florida conditions, and how to ultimately help manage the disease.
Rollins says he has been primarily working on the life cycle and different phases of the pathogen with the existing population of black spot pathogens in Florida.
The seminar will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016.
