Miss Florida Citrus, Rachel Smith, attended the 2017 Citrus Expo in North Fort Myers, Florida. The event gave her the opportunity to meet citrus industry members and interact with them.
“Just in my short time of having this title, I’ve met some incredible people that really care about the citrus industry,” Smith says.
She said she enjoyed getting to meet everyone at Citrus Expo this year. Some of her time at the event was spent greeting people as they entered the trade show.
During Citrus Expo on Wednesday, Smith drew the winners for the Florida FFA Fundraiser Raffle and congratulated them as they collected their prizes.
The passion that the growers, sponsors and exhibitors have for the industry is one of the great things she noticed at Citrus Expo. She said it is great to see what everyone is doing for the industry.
