This year’s Citrus Expo seminar program theme is Challenge, Change and Opportunity.
Michael Rogers, director of the Citrus Research and Education Center and key organizer of the Citrus Expo seminar program, gave some insight on the meaning behind the 2017 theme. “We’re going to be talking about the challenges regarding citrus greening and how growers need to change their programs in the short term to live with the threat of citrus greening. But there’s also a lot of opportunities for the future. We’ll talk about some of the new varieties coming out, some that seem to have tolerance to HLB,” he explained.
