The 2018 Miss Florida Citrus, Megan Price, is excited to attend Citrus Expo in August.
Price, who was crowned Miss Florida Citrus in March, is proud to have grown up in LaBelle surrounded by citrus and other agricultural commodities. She views her Miss Florida Citrus title as an opportunity to give back to her community and to the citrus industry.
Miss Florida Citrus is looking forward to Citrus Expo and seeing the industry come together. She is also excited to have a chance to thank all of the growers. “I think oftentimes they (the growers) get left out when we think about Florida’s economy, but they really are the backbone of Florida’s economy,” she explains.
Price will be walking the trade show floor during both days of Citrus Expo. She will also participate in the FFA raffle. Attendees can purchase raffle tickets from an FFA officer on the trade show floor on Wednesday, Aug. 15, for a chance to win some fantastic prizes. Price will draw the winners of the FFA raffle during the networking reception on Wednesday. You must be present to win.
Citrus Expo will take place August 15–16 at the Lee Civic Center in North Fort Myers, Florida. Growers will not want to miss this year’s event, so don’t wait. Click here or call 352-671-1909 to pre-register. All pre-registered growers will be automatically entered for a chance to win a John Deere gun safe courtesy of Everglades Equipment Group.
Due to a staggering amount of support, Citrus Expo is currently sold out of indoor exhibitor space, but there are outdoor booths available. If you would like to exhibit outdoors or be added to the waiting list for indoor space, please fill out a registration form.
